Saturday, September 10
10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
The market is a unique, ultra local, once-a-year event when Concord farms come to Main Street in Concord Center to sell their own vegetables, flowers, fruit, and specialty items. Greet and buy from 12 Concord farm vendors: Barrett's Mill Farm, Brigham Farm, Brigham Greenhouses, Colonial Gardens, Crooked Row Fields, First Root Farm, Hutchins Farm, Marshall Farms, Saltbox Farm, Scimone Farm, Silferleaf Farm, and Verrill Farm.
Also stop by the Food Farm & Garden Fair table to get full details about the weekend’s events. Pick up your free ticket to Saturday afternoon’s tours of three home food gardens from the Garden Club of Concord’s table. And meet folks from other community groups, including Concord’s Select Board, Musketaquid Arts & Environment, Concord Land Conservation Trust, Concord-Carlisle League of Women Voters, and Mothers Out Front-Concord chapter.
The musicianship of Sawyer Lawson and tasty locally sourced food specials at nearby cafés, food shops, and restaurants complete the fun!
Stop by the Gardeners Cooperative community tables:
The Gardeners Cooperative came together in 2012 to “build a town-wide home gardening network” as recommended in the Community Food System Assessment Report. The Gardeners Cooperative offers a master calendar of events open to the public and to our members, and aims to increase public interest in our local food system as co-sponsors of the fair. We'll have representatives on hand from the Concord Seed Lending Library, Gaining Ground, Conantum Garden, Garden Club of Concord, Thoreau Farm, West Concord Green Thumbs, as well as the Farm Based Education National Conference on Nov. 4-6.
