Gardeners Cooperative organizations, including Gardening for Life, came together in 2012 to “Promote a home gardening movement “, which was one of six critical recommendations in the 2012 “Building Local Connections, the Concord Food Assessment Report”.  Out of this discussion, the “Gardeners’ Cooperative” was born to increase visibility of food gardens and promote public interest in growing our own food.Together, the Gardeners Cooperative member organizations agree to:

  • Share expertise and hands-on learning opportunities
  • Publicize related events, training, programs and services that are open to the public via email to members.
  • Post our gardening-related programs, speakers and services on the Concord Food Network website: www.concordfood.ning.org.
  • Jointly support and participate in the new Seed Lending Library program at the Concord Free Public Library. (www.concordseedlibrary.org)
  • Jointly organize public events that promote home and food gardening
